Nailed It

My friends get their nails done every 2 weeks and I think i'm gonna start joining in on their excursions more frequently. I bite mine, they get chipped when I play sports, and I know it's near impossible for me to maintain a nice set of nails the way they do, but whenever I get my nails done I can't help but think how much I love getting them done and how fun it is! Though I may not follow the same schedule, I do think going to the nail salon is a fun way to catch up and unwind.

Even doing your own nails can be just as rewarding, especially if you're pretty good at it! I'm great at doing my left hand with my right (i'm right handed), but i'm teeeerrible at doing my right hand with my left hand (basically I could use a little help). I used to be pretty decent at it, but for some reason I convinced myself that getting them done/doing them wasn't worthwhile.....but when I got a pretty yellow coating last month it was like sunshine was suddenly all over and I just kept staring. I'll definitely practice doing my nails more often, especially with how happy wearing bright colors makes me! I especially love Essie, and i'm currently wearing the Trophy Wife nailpolish (bad name, great color, its on the far right in the picture below) and I really love it. Its like a pretty tealish-emeraldish shiny color and I can't stop staring at it.

Sidenote: I got yellow gel nails for the first time ever, and even though they looked so beautiful I just don't think i'll get them again. When they took off the gel (it peels, fun fact), they scraped my nails and I hated how my nails felt after. Kinda freaked me out cause I like my oddly shaped fingers/nails a whole lot. Maybe its just this place that does it that way? Please leave comments if you know of better ways to remove gel, I really did love how they looked!
